This week about tying it all
together… What happens in a study like
this?
1. I become overwhelmed.
Isaiah 6:5 (NKJV)
So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and
I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the
King, The LORD of hosts.”
Romans 7:18 (NKJV) For
I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is
present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.
2. I am tempted to quit.
Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) And
let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we
do not lose heart.
3. I develop pride in what “I” have done.
1 Corinthians
1:26–29 (NKJV) 26 For you see your
calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty,
not many noble, are called. 27
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise,
and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things
which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things
which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to
nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His
presence.

hold fast the confession of our hope without
wavering, for He who promised is
faithful.

another in order to stir up love and good works,

(NKJV) and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
